Wikipedia - Laajasalon Palloseura

Laajasalon Palloseura (abbreviated LPS) is a football club from Laajasalo, Helsinki in Finland. The club was formed in 1978 and their home ground is at the Laajasalon urheilupuisto. The men's first team currently plays in the Kolmonen (Third Division). The Chairman of LPS is Timo Viheriäranta.

Le LPS (Lappeenrannan Pallo-Saimaa) est un club de football finlandais basé à Lappeenranta. Fondé en 1997, le club joue actuellement dans la deuxième division finlandaise, la Ykkönen.

Le LPS a connu un certain succès au niveau national, remportant la Suomen Cup (Coupe de Finlande) en 2000 et terminant deuxième du championnat de deuxième division en 2009. Le club a également participé à des compétitions européennes, notamment la Coupe UEFA et la Ligue Europa.

Le stade du LPS est le Lappeenrannan Kisapuisto, qui peut accueillir environ 4 000 spectateurs. Le club est connu pour son style de jeu offensif et sa solide base de supporters.
