Wikipedia - Divizia A (women's handball)

The Divizia A is the second level of the Romanian women's professional handball system. The league comprises twenty nine teams.

History

This sport was first played in Romania in 1920. After a visit in Germany, a few physical education teachers introduced this sport in their classes. The Divizia A was founded in 1933 (in 11 players) and in 1958 in the current format with 7 players. The current champions are Gloria Buzău (Seria A) and Minaur Baia Mare (Seria B).

**Championnat de Roumanie féminin de handball Divizia A**

Le Championnat de Roumanie féminin de handball Divizia A est la première division du championnat de handball féminin en Roumanie. Il a été créé en 1959 et est organisé par la Fédération roumaine de handball.

Le championnat se déroule sous la forme d'une ligue à 12 équipes, avec des matchs aller-retour. Les quatre premières équipes se qualifient pour les playoffs, tandis que les deux dernières sont reléguées en Divizia B.

Les équipes les plus titrées du championnat sont le CS Rapid București (20 titres) et le CS Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea (17 titres). Les actuelles championnes sont le SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea.

Le Championnat de Roumanie féminin de handball Divizia A est un championnat de haut niveau qui attire les meilleures joueuses du pays. Il fait partie des compétitions les plus importantes du handball féminin européen.
